After the adults simply vanish, White Eagle and Paints-With-Words, both 17, lead the children of their tribe on an epic quest across ancient America. While struggling on their journey, they are challenged by hardship, injuries, earthquakes, and erupting volcanoes. Luckily for the Tribe of the Innocents, the two young leaders have been gifted with special powers, and unexpected allies emerge from a battle with the fierce giant frog monster, Green Emperor.
 
The mysterious destination the Great Spirit guides them toward is the enchanting Loose End of the Rainbow, where they will fulfill their destiny; bringing not only their tribe together, but the people of the world.

California author and youth advocate D.B. Pacini's fantasy youth/YA novel, THE LOOSE END OF THE RAINBOW, was published by Singing Moon Press on March 27, 2009.  She is donating 10% of the profits to WOLE to be used specifically for school supply needs of children and teenagers living on the Rosebud Reservation in South Dakota. She is also sending free copies of the novel to WOLE for Rosebud school teachers.
